Question to Ask in Choosing Accommodation Support and Respite Services

In looking for the perfect accommodation support and respite services, we encourage you to ask lots of questions so that you can be assured of your final decision.

The decision in choosing a place for yourself, your parent, or a loved one in an assisted living community is a significant decision to make for your family. Ask as many questions as you need until you’re sure that you understand the assisted living facility’s services, regulations, and privileges, and that the community meets your needs.

When looking for accommodation support and respite services, there are a few questions to consider.

These questions will help you know what each community has to offer and will also help you create a priority list of what is most essential to you.

There are no specific answers to the questions below. The correct response will vary from person to person, but you should be able to tell whether the options are appropriate for you.

Who will help you out?

You should enquire about the assistance that comes with the home, private respite, and accommodation services. You want to know that your support team will be there for you whenever and however you need them. You should also know if the facility staff is well-trained, what certification they have undergone, and what experience they have so that you can identify whether they can meet your needs.
